American Sweethearts Twirling and Dance academy

Classes Available: jazz, tapp, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, creative movement,  baton, competition baton twirling teams, competition dance teams, majorette tryout lessons parade and community groups and private lessons in all disciplines.

REGISTRATION:  AUGUST 29-SEPT 2

CLASSES BEGIN:  SEPTEMBER 12

    

All classes taught by adults.

All students WILL take part in our sponsored competitions and recital

All competition students will take part in ALL TEAMS, all competitions camp and nationals.

 

Lessons available: 

Dance: jazz, tap, lyrical, ballet, hip hop and creative movement

Baton: baton class, private lessons, majorette tryout lessons

NEW THIS YEAR:  Ages 0-10 competition teams.  This is for young one only and they will have multiple competition routines to learn.

 

Competition:  Competition solos, duets and all teams.

These students will be on all teams.  They can not choose their teams.

 

New This YEAR:  American Sweethearts ELITE Stars.  Competition dance team team focused on high profile intense dane competitions

 

NEW this YEAR:  commmunity and parade group:  This group is not competition and would focus on parades and community performing.

 

FEES:  All fees are a tuition.  That means they are not based on the number of lessons per month.  THERE ARE NO MAKE UP LESSONS.

Class lessons:  $25.00 per month

Team lessons:  $25.00 per month.  This is for one team or 20 teams..including community corps

  MUST BE ON COMPETITION TEAMS TO HAVE A PRIVATE LESSON

Unlimited lessons...1 child $75.00 per month...

Dance and pom teams are open to everyone no experience necessary.

Colorguard teams are open to everyone. No experence necessary.

Twirling teams are open to everyone.  No experience necessary.  However, all twirling team members must take a separate twirling lesson.

All students must participate in all competitions.  Usually attending 5-8 competitions per year.  All solo students must participate in at least 3 solo events or pageant events per competition.  All students must participate in our camp and recital.

Competition teams start in September and go thru nationals in July.

 

Other costs:

• Equipment
• Costume, shoes and tights.
• Hair
• Competition fees
• Ocassional gym rental fees.
• Coaches fee for expenses for competitions.

 

All lessons are in West Tusc in Canton, Ohio.  This is a limited space facility, so it will be necessary to rent gym time before competitions, which is an extra expense to the students. 

These lessons are the most reasonably priced competition lesssons in the area. Don't miss the opportunity to broaden your horizons.

 

Our coach is a certified twirling judge and coach participation in the National Baton Twirling Association, Twirling Unlimited, AAU and Drum Majorettes of America.   Listed in "Who's Who in Baton Twirling".   Kimberly was a national championship twirler, feature twirler and head majorette for McKinley Sr. High School in Canton, Ohio.  Members of American Sweethearts have won national, state, and regional titles as well as Miss Majorette titles.
